For many people – and this is including people in the United Kingdom – pasta is the ultimate comfort and celebration food. Not only is pasta relatively easy to prepare, it also tastes so good that you simply can't stop enjoying it. Of course, when we talk about pasta meals, what we tend to consider as the most important part is the pasta sauces. The pasta sauces, for many of us, is what ADDS to the pasta meal. Of course, the pasta itself is the heart of the dish – it provides the texture and it is quite filling, but the pasta sauce provides the flavor and the specific experience of the whole thing. Do your pasta sauces wrong, and you end up disappointed. Do your pasta sauces right, and you will feast like a king (or queen, of course). And the best part is that you don't necessarily have to use your pasta sauces on pasta; you can use them for other dishes as well.
While many of us opt to get prepackaged pasta sauces – this is, of course, referring spaghetti sauce in particular – it is always a good idea to make your own pasta sauces so they could be properly modified to suit specific taste preferences. Some say that to a British person, making pasta sauces may be a mite bit tricky in the sense that the Italian style of cooking or eating is different from that of the British. That is not true; anyone can make pasta sauces if they had the right ingredients and the right recipes.
